Mission:
Families on a Mission, as a companion, provides the platform to gather family members in Christ to grow in faith, love and relationship with God and one another in the “village” of Chinese Canadian Catholic families that share the same cultural background and are in a similar stage of life.
Goals:
Via forming, nourishing and supporting the “village” families, Families on a Mission
- inspires the identification and enhancement of the relationship with God at the individual level
- contributes to the formation and maintenance of the domestic church, that is families living in faith and with God’s providence
- helps reinforcing a strong marriage to as a foundation to the domestic church
- Embraces and encourages supportive groups and activities for the spiritual growth of the village
- brings joy and fun to, and promotes communion within every village member
Membership:
Families are invited to join our family group by first participating in our annual family retreat, which takes place each year during the Pentecost weekend (since 2019). We’re also more than happy to assist other families to form their own group and join our village of faith.
