How this small community started…
2018
Christmas
Caroling 2018
We were a group of friends who wanted to spend a Christ-centered Christmas together with our children, so we joined our parish group to offer caroling at a senior home, and also organized a Christmas group event at Willowgrove camp.
2019

On Pentecost weekend (June)
Family retreat
Soon after the initial Christmas events, some of us felt called to do more for our Lord within the group and we started to pray more and formed a small committee to organize a family retreat, one that encourages parents and children to grow in faith together, for example:
- To explore ways to grow closer to God together
- To learn about families’ mission in Christ
- To spend time with Jesus in prayer and meditation
To have fun together and enjoy the nature
2020
When the pandemic began…
When the pandemic began in 2020, Families on a mission switched to virtual gatherings and the mothers also formed a group named Sisters in Mary for the women to gather regularly in the Catholic faith.
We also work together on various service projects to offer what we can for the needy in our larger community.
And our journey continues…
